Princess Maddie turns 4!!!!!!

Well since it's only been a FEW months since Ive last blogged I thought I'd dust off the old blog spot and try again....

my bad people.. my bad....

any who... today is an important day in the Pratho household... our little baby girl turns 4!!!!!

Chris and I both had the day off so we sent Collin to the nanny's and spent the day doing what ever Maddie wanted!!! here's how it went...

I woke up SUPER early in hopes Maddie would wake up.. but no such luck.. she woke up around normal time 730ish... so this is what we did the night before...

yes that's her sleeping in the bed....

so I hear a little stirring and i run upstairs to make sure it's not Collin waking up Maddie... but it's Maddie... she was SO upset these balloons were on the floor... (the day before her and Chris cleaned her room) she was patting her legs saying " are you serious mom?! I just cleaned my room with my dad... who made this HUGE mess?!?"

after she woke up a bit more she was more okay with the idea that they were for her birthday....

so this is the after photo when she woke up....

I had the idea to just take a photo with this sign but then I thought since we would be doing so many things today (that she all picked) it would be cute to document it all!!!

We headed downstairs and Collin and I started to make a super fab birthday breakfast!!

then we got dressed (a few hours later) and headed on base for festivities!!  by this time we were hungry and Maddie picked lunch.... PIZZA!!!!

Cheese pizza is Maddie's FAVORITE!!! and on this special day Fanta to drink!!!
Then we headed to the ice cream shop...

and here's the photo...  this photo had Chris and I laughing ALL day... she would NOT sit still or take a break from eating ice cream to take a photo....

then we headed to the park for some swing time fun!!

man was it a perfect day for the park!!! it was HOT which is awesome since lately it's been so rainy!!!

after a few hours at the park we decided to hit the post office up and see if we got any cards!! and we did!!!

Thank you Granny!!! we LOVED the card and STICKERS!!!! so we then headed to the BX to pick up a new present from Granny!!

While shopping Maddie didn't quite understand what "you can pick out 1 toy" was so we finally narrowed it down from 5 to 2 toys... she picked out a vacuum and a travel dress up doll!!

After such an exciting morning and afternoon we decided to head home and take a rest....  and get ready for our party!!!

We headed to the party at Ms. Heathers house and we took a photo with our friends

These are the kids that go to the there Tagesmutter (day mother/nanny) together... L-R Logan (5) Maddie (4) Collin (2) and Sophia (1) don't mind Logan's mid sneeze shot... do you know how hard it is to get 4 toddlers to sit still for a photo?!  this was the other shot....

after a few hours at Ms. Heathers we came home and finished presents.... Maddie still had a small jolt of energy in her to open a few more gifts...

Thanks to Uncle Daryl and Aunt Cara (and Declan) Grandma and Grandpa Pratho and Aunt Allison, the Godparents Heidi and Luke and Lexi she had an awesome birthday!!!

I hope you enjoyed this... We are extremely pooped today..

Texas our Texas....

So as most of you know... I took a hop skip and a jump and went to Texas for about 3 weeks with Maddie.... boy was it a trip!!! I didn't blog while I was there because my computer access was limited to my phone... but we had so much fun!!!! I have a ton of photos but hadn't had a chance to upload them on the computer yet!

We were able to see SO many people that we love!!! Chris' parents and Grandmother, Sister and brother aunts and uncles! My parents uncle and grandmother!! lots of friends too many to name... but a few special ones who came in from New Mexico and Dallas to spend 2 different weekends with us!!!!

I was able to share some of my most favorite things about Houston with Maddie... She experienced her first Rodeo and we were able to get blue bonnet photos since they bloomed a bit early this year!!!!

and on the plus side i think we shopped until we dropped!!!!

I have to thank my wonderful husband for making this all possible.... with  out his help and our "day mothers" help I would not have been able to go!!!!

and while all vacations are awesome relaxing and wonderful it's time to check back into reality.... and I am very grateful for being home!!!!!

So my bloggs should be back to there " normal" updates!!!

Feb 15.... VINTAGE!!!!

Vintage anything is my favorite... ok with some exceptions...

while wasting hours of my life looking on ETSY... I came across a lady who makes bracelets out of vintage earrings!! I had to have one... I got it 3 days ago and can't seem to take it off!!! a lot of my friends say it "screams Brie" ha ha

Forgive me bloggers.... Valentines day

Forgive me bloggers for I have sinned... it has been 5 days since my last post...

ok so Im not a saint at blogging  I think we have ALL learned that by now... Ive just been REALLY busy lately!!!

I have been working TONS lately... until 4 am... all weekend... you know the drill... so here's the most recent thing I have that's worth it...

my "day mother" or nanny threw a little valentines party for the kids!!! Maddie was obsessed with saying Happy Valentines day.. she made me a card it was so cute!!!!

12 days of not blogging....

ok so there has been talk of "WHERE'S THE PRATHO'S BLOG?!?!" I didn't know so many people cared... thanks guys...

ok now that that's over... here's what we've been doing for the past 12 days....

(think along the lines of the 12 days of Christmas... but way more awesome)

On the first day of not blogging:

We had 2 kids who discovered our mismatched sock bucket... they did everything in there... eat, watched movies and played...





On the second day of not blogging:

We tried to make our own dog food.... that lasted all of 3 days..

On the third day of not blogging :

SCHNEE!!!!!

On the fourth day of not blogging:

We took home 480 bottles of coke a cola.....



One the fifth day of not blogging:

Puppy Love = Maddie obsessed with loving, kissing and hugging the dogs...

On the sixth day of not blogging:

Cake baking at it's finest... good thing we practiced with the Easy Bake.... end result:

On the seventh day of not blogging:

We did science experiments Baking Soda + food coloring+ vinegar = very happy kiddos...

On the eighth day of not blogging:

I nearly froze to death.... literally... omg I thought I was going to die.. and if not at least lose a few fingers....

later that night we went out to dinner to celebrate my birthday... I look a little bloated due to the massive amounts of sushi I ate... about 35 pieces...

On the ninth day of not blogging:

Maddie had us make pink pancakes... that's not the weird part.. what's weird is she always eats her eggs on them and fold it like a taco... now that's weird...

On the tenth day of not blogging:

We had to take Apollo to the vet since he has not been feeling well.. and since I feel like i have shag carpet due to the amount of scratching he is doing.


On the eleventh day of not blogging:

SCHNEE ANGELS!!!!

That night we watched movies... these are my favorite kids....


On the twelfth day of not blogging:

We got a late christmas box and M got a bracelet making kit... this is what she made....

Ok so now you're caught up to today... I am really going to try and keep this up!!!! Enjoy it!!!

Jan 29 2012- Chef Maddie at your service

For Christmas Maddie got an Easy Bake Oven....

never in a million years did I think it would be a pain to get the right lightbulbs, transformer, or cake mixes for this thing... but in the end it was a blast...

Maddie Collin and Chris spent about 2 hours playing with this thing.. Maddie did all the work on the cake and Collin made 6 cookies!!!

I have a video but Ill post that to FB.. but here's a photo of them prosting (CHEERS!!) with there cookies... (As they do everything else) for a job well done..

Jan 28 2012- puppy love

Maddie has been OBSESSED with the dogs lately... making sure they eat all there food, to wanting to take them on walks all the time.. to giving them lots of hugs and kisses... now Apollo would let her kiss, hug and pet him ALL day long... but Butters on the other hand... likes about 2 seconds of it then she's done...

but this is a RARE photo that Butters actually sat next to Maddie for about 20 min while she pet and kissed her... (they were watching a movie together )

This photo is being frames... it is one of my ALL time favorite photos....

Jan 27 2012- would you like cheese with that?

Today I had a tupperware party to go to hosted by one of my coworkers... she loves Maddie although she had never met her... (she has seen all the videos and photos.. I mean who couldn't love her...) so I thought I would take her along...

As Maddie called it it was a girls party... and Chris and Collin were having there boy's party...


so we went to Burger King (fancy I know) for dinner and then off to a tupperware party!!!

Jan 26-2 2012..... mmmmm BACON

2 posts in one day... you are lucky!!!

 Today Chris came home with 10 POUNDS OF BACON... you read that right... 10 POUNDS....

Now Im one who loves bacon, Im not a vegetarian.... but 10 pounds is a little much..

~side note: I must say that we did NOT eat 10 pounds... this was for work.. they were making breakfast tacos ~

so Chris was in charge of bacon... omg... I will be fine if I don't eat bacon for the next year... I think my kitchen will smell that way for months to come....

Jan 26 2012 The stars at night are big and bright....

Today I was in a crafty mood (really are you surprised?) so I dug out some mason jars that I have stashed in the basement.. and some glow in the dark paint (thank you Melanie) and decided to do "stars in a jar" for the kids....

literally you paint dots all over the inside of a jar... and then it glows in the dark.....

the kids are in love...

Jan 25 2012... brrr it's cold outside

I really have the best sitter... not only does she manage to watch 4 kids... the ages of 4 3 2 and 1.. with NO tv in a small apartment... but she also manages everyday (weather permitting) to get them all dressed and outside to play in the cold weather!!!

Jan 24 2012.. Hot chocolate with smarshmallows

It is freezing cold right now... so when I go to pick the kids up there usually playing out side all bundled up with ROSEY cheeks... it's really freaking cute...

anyways... they are usually still really cold even with 4-5 layers on that it's not unusual for us to come home and have a nice hot cup of hot cocoa with smarshmallows...

and then of course the smarshmallows tend to sink to the bottom and we must retrieve them so that's where the spoon comes in...

Jan 23 2012... my hand are like raisins

For about a year now (more like 8 months or eternity which ever) I have been fighting with my dish washer... and with no luck I was the only one who truly believed it hated me as much as I hated it..... until one week it stopped running....

COMPLETELY....

one day with out a dishwasher in this house is like 20 years....

so Chris tried and tried with no luck....

so we finally called the landlord... and it was FIXED!!!!

only for 1 day...

so we called again and he spoke words that sounded like a million bucks.... A NEW DISHWASHER...

Monday the 23rd at 615 pm I received a new dishwasher

Jan 22 2012- basement fun

Today we cleaned up the basement a bit and found some old baby stuff and the kids played in the playroom...  here the kids are playing "dinner time"

and Collin decided he needed to be a baby again....

Jan 21 2012- Im HUNGRY

the other day I went to there airman's attic (A place on base where you can get things for free if you're under a certain rank)  and they had the game Hungry Hungry Hippos... so Sat morning after breakfast we busted it out.. and had a BLAST!!! we probably played for about an hour and the kids LOVED it!!!!

Jan 20 2012- keeping up with the Jones' (a few years late)

Im so behind with this thing but I have the photos!!

Today I got a new phone!! Im a little behind the times when it comes to these things... but I finally got an IPHONE!!!!!

it's a little warped... but    Im one happy kid!! Happy Early Birthday from Chris!!

Jan 19 2012- this is why I had kids..

so my dishwasher has been broken for almost a week.... and we have been having to hand wash EVERYTHING... one thing I HATE doing is hand washing dishes... so Maddie helped me finish the last of it before our landlord came over to fix it...

Oh she loved drying and putting away the dishes!! (don't worry she only did the sharp knives and everything that was SUPER breakable and irreplaceable..)

Chris started taking online classes and his class started Monday.... he has lots of homework... how does he do it...

Jan 17 2012- best schnitzel sandwich arround town

ok so this is a little late but at least i have the photo right?!

ok Chris came home the other day and told he has been looking for this restaurant on base (German Kantine) that apparently has this AWESOME schnitzel sandwich and he couldn't wait to try it... so my boss wanted to go eat there for lunch the other day... I had never been either... when i put two and two together I got 4... or a restaurant with a sandwich that Chris was dying to try... so what was the nice wifely thing to do?

eat it before he did and rub it in his face....

it was awesome....

(don't worry... I got hit with a nice taste of karma... I left my jacket there and didn't have a jacket the next day... did I mention the weather was in the teens?! so I had to take him to lunch the next day... and we went back and he didn't even get the sandwich...)

I was NOT a total slacker today... so there are photos...


I have been wanting to try for awhile glass cutting... so we gave it a shot.... here's the first (what seemed like a million) tries....

we read SEVERAL blogs to find the right way to do it.. we used acetone, lighter fluid.... and a lot of string.... we finally got it down and Chris didn't realize what side I wanted... ha ha so this is the first one we did....

I just need to do some sanding and they will fit perfect on my window ledge!!
